This month's most loved

I've decided to be good for once and show you what I have been loving through the month of September *pats self on back*.

My standout favourite from this month is definitely the Estēe Lauder Double Wear Foundation! I'm a full coverage girl through and through, but I tend to find it hard to foundation that stands the test of time (aka a full days wear). In this particular case, this foundation stood the test of a music festival and still looked freaking fantastic at the end of the night. Needless to say I've worn it religiously throughout September.

Next is the MAC fix+. This is a product that has actually been in my collection for probably a year and I never particularly loved it as I hadn't found the right way to use it. Since I found a preferred method I've now finished my old bottle and instantly repurchased the next! I love misting this on my face after applying my foundation, then once again after using my powder. It just makes my foundation look a bit more natural and leaves a much nicer finish to it.

Sticking with MAC, my next monthly favourite is this Kelly Osbourne blush in the shade 'Cheeky Bugger'. I have a fairly pale complexion when I haven't fake tanned and I think this blush really complements my skin tone. I like to think that maybe because Kelly Osbourne is pale herself they took that into consideration when creating this product..... It translates onto the skin as the perfect peachy-pink flush.

Moving onto eyes with the L'Oréal Miss Manga Mascara. Let me tell you first, that mascara is probably the thing that I am fussiest about. It takes a lot to impress me with a mascara as it's the one product I can't leave the house without applying. At the moment I've only tried the waterproof formula (because I much prefer waterproof mascaras) however I do have an unopened non-waterproof formula of this mascara that I am eager to try. This mascara gives volume, length and as the brush is conical it's quite easy to spread the product right out to the outer lashes and inner lashes with the thinner end. The formula is also very build able meaning I can create a more natural look or a much more dramatic look depending on my mood or what I'm getting ready for!

The final product in my September favourites is the Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Day Cream. When I went into Mecca Maxima I was looking for a good moisturiser that I can pop on my face in the mornings before doing my makeup. There is nothing I hate more than going to apply your makeup and you can still feel/see moisturiser sitting on top of your skin. It never ends well for me. Lucky enough the sales assistant recommended me this product and I've loved it because it does exactly what I asked for. It sinks into the skin quickly yet is still quite moisturising, leaves no residue on the skin and makeup applies smoothly afterwards.

So that's my monthly favourites and I hope you enjoyed it :) Let me know if you love any of these products too and let me know what your monthly favourites were this month!

  3. One of my friends used to rave about Double Wear because, like you, she said it had incredible lasting power - the only thing that puts me off is that it seems to be quite high coverage. Out of the products you mention I'm really keen to try the L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara. I've seen some really really mixed reviews but the people who like it really really like it so I'm hoping maybe it will be a big hit for me too! x

    1. It definitely is quite high coverage but if you apply it with something like a beauty blender you can definitely wear it a little more sheer! x
